Citizens Dialogue Committee
Transparency and Communication
In 2009, in our desire to achieve harmonization with the residential areas nearby, the company suggested the creation of a Citizens Dialogue Committee for the residents of Saint-Dominique. This committee, formed following a public information meeting held April 28, 2009, includes a dozen citizens, a company representative, a municipal representative and an external consultant.
The primary objective of this committee was to create a tool through which citizens could communicate their expectations with respect to quality of life in connection with our business activities. The company's concern for transparency has allowed citizens to better understand the challenges and environmental issues facing the company.
Through this committee, citizens actively participated in the development of solutions to achieve harmonization between the company's business activities and the residential needs of the area. The implementation of these solutions was carried out as part of our continuous improvement process.
The Citizens Dialogue Committee operates on an open, volunteer basis and is active during the annual period of operations from April to October.
