Nearly 80 years producing crushed stone
Les Carrières de Saint-Dominique Ltd. is a family business that was founded in 1938 and that has continued to see steady growth over the years ever since. Les Carrières de Saint-Dominique Ltd. has always been central to the development of our beautiful region.
We own about 30 million square feet of land for the production of crushed stone, agricultural lime, concrete, recycled materials and abrasives at competitive prices. Our materials are also used for manufacturing RCC (roller compacted concrete) in our mobile Pug mill plants.
Constantly Evolving
The Saint-Dominique quarry is the main one of four stone quarries owned by the company. We hold several certifications, demonstrating the quality of our products. Our specialists receive regular training to remain abreast of the latest developments in the field and are always seeking out new technologies to improve the quality of our products and keep up with renewed standards.
In addition to being a regional leader in crushed stone production, Les Carrières de Saint-Dominique Ltd. expanded the family with the acquisition of five concrete plants in the Eastern Townships: Béton Granby, Béton Memphré in Magog, Produits de Ciment Couillard in Coaticook, Béton Aimé-Côté in Sherbrooke and Béton Suprême in Lac-Brome. These plants were acquired during the first decade of 2000, supplementing two other plants at Saint-Dominique and Saint-Hyacinthe.
To date, during the high season, nearly 225 employees work for Les Carrières de Saint-Dominique Ltd.
