What is pyrite?

Pyrite is a mineral which is found in several forms of rock compositions in Quebec.

When there is pyrite in certain types of crushed stones which are used to be placed under the concrete flagstone and, when certain conditions are met, the flagstone of a basement of a garage can inflate and burst.
