Our agricultural limestone is recognized as one of the best in the province of Quebec. It is BNQ certified. We manufacture limestone since 1949.
Natural limestone :
- Neutralizes the acidity of the soil by providing calcium and magnesia;
- Reduces the toxicity of aluminium or manganese which are more soluble in acid soils;
- Develops a soil favourable to the multiplication and the work of the micro-organisms;
- Improves the growth of the roots;
- Improves the quality of the soil;
- Gives better effectiveness to mineral fertilizers.
Advantages of limestone :
- Effectively corrects the pH of the soil when there is an excess of acidity;
- Prevents the compaction of the soils during wet summers;
- Gives better results to corn culture;
- Prepares the soil very well for the cultures that require a higher pH;
