Symbole d'Excellence

Les Carrieres de St-Dominique were founded in 1938, when the road between Saint-Hyacinthe and Saint-Dominique was being built. A contractor of Montreal, Mr. Frank Lapane, decided to setup the quarry at its current emplacement in order to manufacture the crushed stone needed to build the new road of Saint-Dominique.

The company continued its operations until World War II when it was bought by a group of businessmen from Saint-Hyacinthe, under the direction of Mr. Camille Mercure. The company continued its expansion until today. In addition to the quarries themselves, Les Carrieres St-Dominique own a concrete factory and have fifteen trucks. The company is also known as one the most important limestone manufacturers in the province.

Les Carrieres de St-Dominique have stone reserves for several hundred years; indeed, they are owners of approximately 30 million square feet of ground.
